The Association holds functions throughout the year to enable members, guests and visitors to network and/or to find out about other businesses in the district.
The breakfasts are very popular and those who attend still manage to get to work by 9. Everyone gets an opportunity to promote themselves at these lively meetings. This year we hope to have more guest speakers.
Evening functions are held periodically, often sponsored by a member who wishes to invite fellow members to view their premises and how they conduct their business.
Gala Dinner and Awards Presentation
In the past, the biggest fund-raising event has been the Dinner/Auction night. This has now been replaced by the Business Excellence Awards presentation and it is planned to expand this dinner into a more expansive and exciting event where everyone can attend not just the recipients of awards.
The committee is always working enthusiastically to present events which the members will enjoy and any suggestions will be taken on board.
Elections and other stuff
Finally, the AGM is a great opportunity to find out about the Association’s progress or upcoming plans and the sundowner afterwards allows you to meet your fellow members. We elect a new committee every year, so this is an opportunity to get involved (put yourself up for election!). Everyone is encouraged to attend this event – especially as the food supplied by the Ballajura College is simply delicious!
